Add serial number to existing part

To add a serial number to a part already in stock:

Step 1.  On the Data -> Parts Items -> Setup -> Part Classifications screen, click Prepare for Insert .

Step 2.  In the Part ID field, select a part from the choice list.

Step 3.  In the Serial number field, type the serial number of the part on the shelf.

Step 4.  Verify that the status is IN STOCK.

Step 5.  In the Current location field, use the choice list button to select the stock location.

Step 6.  Click Process .
