Classify part as serialized

To classify a part as serialized:

Step 1.  On the Data -> Parts Items -> Setup -> Part Classifications screen, click Prepare for Insert .

Step 2.  In the Part classification ID field, type an ID up to two characters.

Step 3.  In the Description field, type a description of the classification.

Step 4.  Click the appropriate classification checkboxes, including Serialized. (A serial number is required to perform an activity on the part, such as issue, receive, transfer, or repair.)

Step 5.  Click Process .
