Basic Info


The Basic Info tab enables you to define capital project types.

Detail View Header

The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.

Project type ID

Identifier of the capital project type currently displayed in the grid or that you are defining. Maximum field length is 30 characters. This field has a list box. The project type description displays to the right of the ID. This field is required.

Detail View

The fields in the bottom section of this tab enable you to provide more information about the project type, including description, capital category ID, capital priority ID, automatic numbering, and custom ID structure. All fields are optional.

Description

Text description of the project type that you are defining. Maximum field length is 60 characters.

Capital category ID

Identifier of the capital category assigned to the project type. This field has a list box. The category description displays to the right of the ID.

Capital categories are defined on the Data -> Equipment Management -> Capital Planning -> Setup -> Capital Categories screen.

Capital priority ID

Identifier of the capital priority assigned to the project type. This field has a list box. The priority description displays to the right of the ID.

Capital priorities are defined on the Data -> Equipment Management -> Capital Planning -> Setup -> Capital Priorities screen.

Automatic numbering

The automatic numbering mechanism that you can use for capital project types. The options are:

Custom ID structure

Free-form text field in which you can specify a custom numbering structure by combining static text with one or more of the following tags. The complete ID may not exceed 30 characters. Required if the Automatic numbering field specifies CUSTOM. Otherwise, optional.

Yearly inflation factor

Default yearly inflation factor that is used on project schedules to automatically adjust a project budget. This field auto-populates if a factor is associated with the project type ID. Must be a positive number.

Mapping Symbology ID

Use this to add a new symbology ID. With this ID, you can add custom symbology.
