Files

The Files tab enables you to view and insert links to files associated with class/task information. When a work order is opened for a unit/task combination (e.g., resources, PM program, or maintenance class and task ID) that has related files, those files are added to the Files tab on the work order screens (Work Order Center, Work Order Short Form, and Linear Work Order).

Detail Header

The fields in the top section of this tab define the data that displays.

Equipment class ID

Identifier of the equipment class for resources (assigned to equipment units on the Classes tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen). This field has a list box. The class name displays to the right of the ID.

Equipment classes are defined on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Equipment Class -> Primary Information screen.

Task or standard ID

Identifier of the single repair task, repair group, or PM service on which to base the standard. This field has a list box. The following choices are appropriate for parts required:

• Any repair group: Repair group number

• Any repair task: Complete repair task code

• Any PM service: Letter that designates the PM service

• Any standard: Valid ID of a standard. (See also metric variant.) Examples:

• MPG: Miles per gallon (fuel)

• GPH: Gallons per hour (fuel)

• MPQ: Miles per quart (oil) (in thousands)

• L/100KM: Liters per 100 kilometers (fuel)

• L/HR: Liters per hour (fuel, oil)

• KM/L: Kilometers per liter (oil) (in thousands)

• $TO: Total operating cost (fuel, fluids, miscellaneous)

• $TR: Total repair cost

• $TP: Total PM cost

The description displays to the right of the ID.

Detail View

The Files group data table lists the data files associated with the class/task information. These fields are optional.

Delete

To delete the entries in the fields to the right, place a check in this field and click Save.

Type

Text description of the reason for the file association. This information is transferred with the other data to appropriate work orders. The maximum field length is 20 characters. Two or more files may not have the same type (other than blank).

Path and file name

Navigation path and file name of the data file associated with the class/task. You can associate a procedures document, diagram, schematic, and so forth with the class/task. The field allows both uppercase and lowercase letters to support operating systems that are case-sensitive. The maximum field length is 255 characters. This field has a file launch button .

Description

Text description of the data file. The maximum field length is 50 characters.
