Line Item Other IDs |
The Line Item Other IDs screen enables you to create non-part identifiers for line items other than stock parts. You can use the identifiers to standardize line item descriptions for items such as shipping or fees. They also can be used for commercial work or non-stock items, as well as additional information for stock part line items.
The Line Item Other IDs screen has one tab, Basic Info. The field in the top section of the tab enables you to create a another identifier for a line item.
Line item other ID
Identifier of the line item either being defined or that is currently selected in the grid. This field has a list box. If the item type already exists, its description displays to the right of the field. This field is required.
Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab enable you to identify the entities to which the other ID applies. All fields are optional.
Description
Free-form text field in which you can type a description of the product. Maximum field length is 30 characters.
Product category
Category to which the line item is assigned. This field has a list box. If the category already exists, its description displays to the right of the field.
Product categories are defined on the Data -> Parts Items -> Setup -> Product Categories screen.
Applies to
Place a check next to each entity associated with the line item other ID.
