Special Fee - Attributes

The Special Fee - Attributes screen enables you to define the attributes that may be entered for special fees and special fee batches. Attributes for special fees may include the method by which you record values of specific data elements from your state DMV that need to be compared against values on the equipment during a data load. For special fee batches, attributes may include data about payment shipping methods.

Detail View Header

The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.

Special fee attribute ID

Identifier of the fee attribute currently selected in the grid or that you are defining. Maximum field length is 20 characters. This field has a list box. If the code already exists, its description displays to the right of the ID. This field is required.

Detail View

The fields in the bottom section of the tab enable you to record details about the fee attribute.

Description

Text description of the fee code. Maximum field length is 30 characters. This field is optional.

Active

If this field has a check, the fee attribute is active.

• Note: The checkbox may not be cleared if the attribute is in use on a fee in PENDING status.

Used on

Special fees of type fee

If this field has a check, the attribute may be used on special fees of type FEE. Special fee types are defined on the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Special Fees -> Setup -> Special Fee Types screen.

• Note: The checkbox may not be cleared if the attribute is in use on a FEE type in PENDING status. The checkbox may be cleared if the FEE type status is either COMPLETE or CANCELED.

Special fees of type license

If this field has a check. the attribute may be used on special fees of type LICENSE. Special fee types are defined on the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Special Fees -> Setup -> Special Fee Types screen.

• Note: The checkbox may not be cleared if the attribute is in use on a LICENSE type in PENDING status. The checkbox may be cleared if the LICENSE type status is either COMPLETE or CANCELED.

Fee batches

If this field has a check. the attribute may be used in special fee batches.
