Subsystem (Equipment Subsystem)


Data View Header

The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.

Subsystem

Name of the subsystem. This field has a list box. A subsystem could be the body, engine, belts, axles, transmission, or suspension. This subsystem appears in the list box for the Property field on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Equipment Attributes screen.

Detail View Header

The fields in the bottom section of the tab enable you to identify the component, if any, related to the subsystem as well as the properties that the subsystem supports. All fields are optional.

Related component

Equipment component related to subsystem for which component warranty information is tracked. This field has a choice-list. The default is blank (none).

Update all to support in mobile

If checked, this will drive what properties for that subsystem will be downloaded to the mobile device and ultimately have the ability to be used and displayed on the mobile device.

Associated Properties Screen Group Data Table

The Associated properties screen group in the bottom section of the tab enables you to specify the list of properties supported by the subsystem.

Delete

To delete the entries in the fields to the right, place a check in this field and click Save.

Property

Name of the property for the associated subsystem. You can use this field to create new properties. This field is required.

Input type

Type of input associated with the property. This field has a choice-list. This field is optional.

List type ID

Identifier of the list type associated with the subsystem. If you want to use a list to provide a set of options for users, enter the ID of the list to display those options in a choice-list. This field has a choice-list. This field is optional.

List required

When this option is checked, a list is required to be used for the subsystem information. Users cannot type into this field, but must choose an option from the list. On the Equipment Attributes screen, when the property is set for a line, the custom list type ID rules apply. If this box is checked, data must be entered for the list.

Must match list type

This applies to TEXT attributes only. If this option is checked, then values entered for text attribute data must match an established list type and be in the list. To allow free form data values, leave this option unchecked.

Allow only once

If checked, this subsystem property can only be used once.

Supported in mobile

If checked, this will drive what properties for that subsystem will be downloaded to the mobile device.
