Delete text

• Note: To recover text that was deleted accidentally, from the Edit menu, select Undo.

To delete:

• A selected item – Click the cut button, or press Backspace, Delete, or Ctrl + X.

• Characters before the insertion point – Press Backspace.

• Characters after the insertion point – Press Delete.

• Word before the insertion point – Press Ctrl  + Backspace.

• Word after the insertion point – Press Ctrl  + DELETE.

• All entries in the row of the insertion point – Press Ctrl  + B (You must do this BEFORE you process the data. You cannot delete or change the line of data AFTER you process it.)

To restore deleted text:

• To restore deleted text immediately after deleting it – Right-click the field and select Undo from the pop-up menu.
