The following are examples of sort sequences defined for a query or report. It assumes the query or report includes a part number and stocking location.
Part number ascending, location ascending:
Sorts the list in ascending sequence by part number; for any parts stocked at more than one location, it lists all locations consecutively in ascending order.
Part number descending, location ascending:
Sorts the list in descending sequence by part number; for any parts stocked at more than one location, it lists all locations consecutively in ascending order.
Part number ascending, location descending:
Sorts the list in ascending sequence by part number; for any parts stocked at more than one location, it lists all locations consecutively in descending order.
Part number descending, location descending:
Sorts the list in descending sequence by part number; for any parts stocked at more than one location, it lists all locations consecutively in descending order.
Location ascending, part number ascending:
Sorts the list in ascending sequence by location; for any locations that stock more than one part number, it lists all part numbers at the location consecutively in ascending order.
