Components

The Components tab displays the parts that comprise kits.

• Tip: To maximize performance, use the filter to specify the part ID, part suffix, and/or location ID of the kit. If you specify a cross-reference part ID and the system cannot find it, it will search for and display the applicable part ID.

Detail View Header

The information in the fields in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays. All fields are display only.

Location ID

Identifier of the location at which the kit is inventoried.

Part ID

Identifier of the part. The ID is associated with the part suffix. The part description displays to the right of the ID.

• Note: Assembled kits may not contain serialized parts.

Part suffix

Number associated with the part in the Part ID field, which distinguishes it from other parts with the same part ID.

• Note: The part suffix applies only if the part ID is a valid system part ID.

Detail View

Data in the bottom section of this tab display the component information. All fields are display only.

Component part ID

Identifier of the component. The part description displays to the right of the ID.

• Note: Assembled kits may not contain serialized parts as components.

Part suffix

Number associated with the part in the Part ID field, which distinguishes it from other parts with the same part ID.

• Note: The part suffix applies only if the part ID is a valid system part ID.

Quantity in kit

Number of parts with the part ID that are in the kit.

Current stock

Quantity on hand of the part designated by the Component part ID and Part suffix fields at the location specified in the Location ID field.

Part description

Description of the part.
