Note: Non-linear assets do not display on this screen. Use the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen.
The Lines screen enables you to define identifiers for rail lines. You can associate a line with segments, linear assets, and incidents as well as single-point linear assets (e.g., controls and signals) defined on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Stationary Equipment screen.
Tip: You may not delete line IDs that are being used on a segment, equipment, or route. You may delete a line ID that is being used on an incident.
Line ID
Identifier of the line. If entering a new ID, it must be unique and a maximum of 20 characters. This field has a list box of existing IDs. The ID's description displays in the field to the right.
Description
Free-form text description of the line. This field is optional.
Delete
To delete the entries in the fields to the right, place a check in this field and click Save.
Order
Use the order setting to show the order in which lines occur in the segment.
Segment ID
The identifier of the segment.
From marker ID
The from marker identifier of the segment.
From offset
The from offset identifier of the segment.
To marker ID
The to marker identifier of the segment.
To offset
The to offset identifier of the segment.
