Linear Assets - Setup Options

• Note: Non-linear assets do not display on this screen. Use the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen.

The Setup Options screen enables you to set up the unit of measurement for marker offsets and segment offsets.

The fields in the Options tab display the setup options.

Units for offset from segment start

Unit of measurement for the segment start. Units for segment offsets are used for marker definition and asset definition. The options are:

• Tip: If you select Miles as the offset unit, you can set markers as decimal values.

• Miles

• Yards

• Feet

• Inches

• Kilometers

• Meters

• Centimeters

Units for offset from marker

Unit of measurement for offset from the marker. Units for marker offsets are used to define offsets for work orders, tasks, and incidents. The options are:

• Tip: If you select Miles as the offset unit, you can set markers as decimal values.

• Miles

• Yards

• Feet

• Inches

• Kilometers

• Meters

• Centimeters

• Tip: The selected units must be compatible (i.e., must be either metric or English [Imperial]; cannot have one that is metric and one that is English [Imperial]).
