Basic Info


The Basic Info tab enables you to view and record details about a shift.

Detail View Header

The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.

Employee ID

Identifier of the employee. Defaults to the employee ID associated with the logged-in user ID, but you can change it. This field has a list box. The employee name displays in the unlabeled field to the right. This field is required.

Employee IDs are associated with user IDs on the Basic Info tab of the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Access Rights -> Users screen.

Detail View

The fields in the bottom section of the tab enable you to provide details about the shift. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.

Location ID

Identifier of the location. Defaults to the location supported by the employee, but you can change it. This field has a list box. The location description displays to the right of the ID.

Employees are assigned to locations on the Assignment Information tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Employees -> Primary Information screen.

Shift date and time

Date and time (in MMDDYYYY HH:MM format) that the shift begins. May be the same as, earlier than, or later than the current date.

Employee transfer to

Identifier of the employee to whom the shift log is being transferred. This field has a list box of active employees. The employee name displays in the unlabeled field to the right. Optional.

Weather

Text field in which you can enter information regarding weather conditions. Maximum field length is 2,000 characters. This field is optional.

Safety rule of the day

Text field in which you can enter that day's reminder about working safely. Maximum field length is 2,000 characters. This field is optional.

Bulletins

Text field in which you can enter information from a bulletin. Maximum field length is 2,000 characters. This field is optional.

Notices

Text field in which you can enter information from a notice. Maximum field length is 2,000 characters. This field is optional.
