Motor Pool Module

The Motor Pool module helps your organization effectively manage the reservations associated with a shared pool of vehicles.

Core capabilities of the Motor Pool module include the following:

• Track reservations: from creation to dispatch to return

• Help you determine vehicle availability

• Pool vehicles not available for dispatch if they have an open work order (unless you make it available through the equipment status override)

• Automatic suggestion of alternative pool vehicle types

• Automatic cost calculation for each reservation

• Detailed costs structures can be set up

• Extra fees can be applied to promote timely returns

• Run the system motor pool reports to bill back customers

• Allow your drivers to make reservations online using the Customer Access FA Web Module

If the module is installed, the Motor Pool menu displays on the Data -> Equipment Activity menu. The Motor Pool menu provides access to the following screens:

• Motor Pool Center

• Units Available

• Pool Vehicle Types Available

The Motor Pool menu also includes a Setup sub-menu, which provides access to the following screens:

• Options

• Pool Vehicle Types

• Rental Agencies
