Production Planning

The Production Planning module enables you to track rebuildable parts or components as they go through the rebuild process.

Rebuildable items can be set up as:

• Rebuildable parts

• Rebuildable parts with serial numbers

• Rebuildable parts with serial numbers that are also tracked as components

• Components

The system can track rebuildable items throughout their life cycle as follows:

• Removal from a parent unit

• Transfer to a rebuild center

• Progress through the rebuild process

• Transfer to the rebuild center’s inventory

• EOQ to the shop inventories

• Installation on a new parent equipment unit

You can use the Production Planning screens to perform the following tasks:

• View and manage production requests

• Create work orders for production runs

• Request parts for work orders on production runs

If the Production Planning module is installed, Production Planning displays on the Data menu.
