Asset Categories |
The Asset Categories tab enables you to indicate whether service statuses support all asset categories or only specific asset categories. The selections made on this tab determine the content of service status choice lists on various screens.
Service status
The service status from the Basic Info tab. The service status' description displays in the unlabeled field to the right. This field is display only.
Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab specify the asset categories supported by the service status. These fields are optional.
Supports all asset categories
If this field has a check, the service status supports all asset categories.
Enforce asset category restrictions for this service status
If this field has a check, the service status may only be used on a work order for an equipment unit that has an asset category supported by the service status.
The Supported asset categories screen group enables you to define which categories the service status supports.
Delete
If this field has a check, the entire row is deleted when you click Save.
Asset category ID
Identifier of the asset category. This field has a list box.
Asset categories are defined on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Asset Categories screen.
Description
Description of the asset category. This field is display only.
