Default C/C/C Info

The Default C/C/C Info tab supports default values for complaint, cause, and correction (3C) data for service requests associated with tasks created from standard jobs.

Detail View Header

The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.

Standard job ID

Identifier of the standard job currently selected in the grid or that you are defining. Maximum field length is 30 characters. This field has a choice list. If the ID is already defined, its description displays to the right of the ID. If authorized, you can define any number of standard jobs.

Detail View

Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab enables you to specify default information regarding symptoms, fail/cause IDs, manufacturer IDs, complaint IDs, and cause IDs. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are optional.

Default symptom

Identifier of the symptom. This field has a list box. Symptoms are defined on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Symptoms screen.

Default statement

Text description of the symptom. This field auto-populates when you enter a value in the Default symptom field, but you can change it. Maximum field length is 30 characters.

Default fail/cause ID

Identifier of the reason or cause of the failure. This field has a list box of fail/cause IDs that support all symptoms or support the specific symptom entered.

Parts failure/cause codes are defined on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Failure/Cause Codes screen.

Default statement

Text description of the reason for the part failure. This field auto-populates when you enter a value in the Default fail/cause ID field, but you can change it. Maximum field length is 30 characters.

Default correction comment

Text field in which you can type the default comment for the correction. Maximum field length is 255 characters.

Default manufacturer complaint/cause codes Data Table

This screen group enables you to specify the default manufacturer, complaint, and cause IDs. If a manufacturer ID is specified, all fields are required.

Delete

To delete the entries in the fields to the right, place a check in this field and click Save.

Manufacturer ID

Identifier of the manufacturer. This field has a list box.

Manufacturer IDs are defined on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Equipment Manufacturers screen.

Complaint ID

Identifier of the complaint. If there is only one complaint ID associated with the symptom and manufacturer combination, it displays in this field. This field has a list box.

Manufacturer complaint IDs are defined on the Data -> Warranty -> Setup -> Manufacturer Complaint Codes screen.

Cause ID

Identifier of the cause. If there is only one cause ID associated with the fail/cause ID and manufacturer combination, it displays in this field. This field has a list box.

Parts failure/cause codes are defined on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Failure/Cause Codes screen.
