The Manufacturers tab enables you to associate manufacturer complaint IDs with symptoms.
To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can sort on symptom, severity comment, default shop location ID, default priority ID, work management classification, asset category ID, and reporting source ID. Filtering on reporting source and asset category, for example, may provide the most appropriate list of possible symptoms for a particular situation.
The top section of the tab displays the symptom either currently selected in the grid or that you are defining.
Symptom
Identifier of the symptom. Display only from the Basic Info tab. The symptom's name displays in the unlabeled field to the right.
The Manufacturer symptom/complaint codes screen group enables you to associate manufacturer IDs with symptoms.
Delete
If this field has a check, the entire row is deleted when you click Save.
Manufacturer ID
Identifier of the manufacturer. This field has a list box. This field is required if a manufacturer complaint ID is specified.
Manufacturer IDs are defined on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Equipment Manufacturers screen.
Manufacturer complaint ID
Complaint code ID from the manufacturer. This field has a list box. You may associate any number of complaint codes with one symptom.
Manufacturer complaint IDs are defined on the Data -> Warranty -> Setup -> Manufacturer Complaint Codes screen.
