Scheduled Jobs

The Scheduled Jobs tab enables you to enter jobs that are outside the class PM cycle. Jobs can be scheduled based on either a time interval (e.g., Recurring, One Time, or Completed) or meter or fuel usage. Scheduled repair jobs for an equipment unit can be by task ID or standard job ID. You can schedule a one-time service or schedule inspections at a specific life meter or on a specific date.

Opening a work order for a scheduled job creates a repair work order with a status of PENDING. When the work order is finished, the date performed information on this tab is updated. If the schedule type is RECURRING, the next due information based on the cycle is also updated.

The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.

Equipment ID

Identifier of the equipment unit currently selected in the grid. This field has a zoom button to the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen, on which equipment unit IDs are defined. It also has a list box. The equipment unit year, manufacturer, model, meter readings, and description display to the right of the ID.

Data in the fields in the bottom section of this tab provide information about the scheduled repair job. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are optional.

Delete

If this field has a check, the entire row is deleted when you click Save.

Standard job ID

Identifier of the standard job. Job class must match the equipment unit's resource class. This field has a list box. Required only if a task ID is not provided.

Task ID

Identifier of the task. Must be a valid REPAIR GROUP or REPAIR TASK. This field has a list box, restricted based on the equipment unit's asset category. Required only if a standard job ID is not provided.

Date last due

Date (in MMDDYYYY format) that the last service was completed. When the Last performed work order field is updated, its previous value displays in this field. Display only.

Date last start

Date (in MMDDYYYY format) that the last service began. Display only.

Last performed work order

Date (in MMDDYYYY format) the work order was finished. Display only.

Date next due

Date (in MMDDYYYY format) of the next service. Calculated as the date the work order was finished incremented by the number of time units specified on the EQ_SCHEDJOB table.

Life meter 1 last start

Previous starting value for meter 1. Set to the meter reading from the work order. Must be greater than or equal to zero.

Meter 1 override

Number of meter units a unit is operated since a previous PM service at which the next PM service will be due even if the time range specified between services has not elapsed. Must be greater than or equal to zero.

Life meter 1 next due

Next reading for meter 1 at which service is due. If the meter 1 override is specified, the system sets this field equal to the sum of life meter 1 last start plus meter 1 override. If this value is greater than the meter's maximum value, the system sets this field equal to next due meter minus the maximum meter value plus 1. The system essentially rolls the meter over, which should occur if the value of the last start plus the override exceeds the maximum meter value or if the user enters a value that is greater than the maximum meter value.

Life meter 2 last start

Previous starting value for meter 2. Set to the meter reading from the work order. Must be greater than or equal to zero.

Meter 2 override

Number of meter units a unit is operated since a previous PM service at which the next PM service will be due even if the time range specified between services has not elapsed. Must be greater than or equal to zero.

Life meter 2 next due

Next reading for meter 2 at which service is due. If the meter 2 override is specified, the system sets this field equal to the sum of life meter 2 last start plus meter 2 override. If this value is greater than the meter's maximum value, the system sets this field equal to next due meter minus the maximum meter value plus 1. The meter is essentially rolled over, which should occur if the value of the last start plus the override exceeds the  maximum meter value or if the user enters a value that is greater than the maximum meter value.

Fuel used since last PM

Amount of fuel used since the last service. This field is updated when a fuel ticket is added for a vehicle. It resets when the scheduled job is performed. This field is display only.

Fuel override

Number of fuel units a unit is operated since a previous PM service at which the next PM service will be due even if the time range specified between services has not elapsed. Must be greater than or equal to zero.

Soon due days

Number of days into the future that should be considered to determine whether an equipment unit (or linear asset) will soon be due for a PM service. A zero (0) disables the warning message for that meter and falls back to the class' soon due data settings. This field is optional.

Soon due meter 1 range

The remaining range on meter 1 an equipment unit (or linear asset) will soon be due for a PM service. A zero (0) disables the warning message for that meter and falls back to the class' soon due data settings. This field is optional.

Soon due meter 2 range

The remaining range on meter 1 an equipment unit (or linear asset) will soon be due for a PM service. A zero (0) disables the warning message for that meter and falls back to the class' soon due data settings. This field is optional.

Number of time units

Number of units of the time frame specified in the Time unit field. Must be greater than or equal to zero.

Time unit for the scheduled job. This field has a list box:

Schedule type
