The Send Message screen enables you to send messages to other users or equipment unit drivers. To send a message to a driver, the equipment unit's GPS must be equipped with QTracs.
When logged in users receive messages, the dialog box includes how many unread messages they have as well as the text of the latest message. Messages that can be delivered immediately are automatically marked as read.
Tip: To send a message to a work order, use either the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Service Requests/Defects screen or the Data > Equipment Units > Fleet Equipment screen.
Note: You must specify either a user ID, user group ID, or equipment ID as the message recipient. You may send a message to an equipment ID and either a user or a user group.
