The Basic Info tab enables you to create test groups and associate test types with a test group.
The field in the top section of the tab defines the data that displays.
Test group ID
Unique identifier of the test group currently selected in the grid or that you are defining. This field has a list box. If the ID is already defined, its description displays to the right of the ID. This field is required.
The fields in the bottom section of this tab specify information about the test group ID. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.
Description
Description of the test group. Maximum field length is 60 characters.
The following fields, presented in the Test types associated to test group screen group, enable you to specify the test types associated with a test group.
Delete
To delete the entries in the fields to the right, place a check in this field and click Save.
Note: You may not delete test types and test groups on PENDING or IN PROGRESS test results, nor may you delete a test group in use on a class/task record.
Sequence
Sequence in which the test groups display when test results are generated. Maximum field length is five characters. Defaults to 0.
Note: If a test type ID is entered and the existing sequence value is blank or zero, the Sequence field is set to row * 10.
Test type ID
Identifier of the test type. This field has a list box. Test groups may include more than one of the same test type.
Test types are defined on the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Testing -> Setup -> Test Types screen.
Description
Description of the test type. Auto-populates based on the information entered in the Test type ID field.
