How to load data from hand-held devices

To transfer data between the software and a hand-held device, the optional Bar Code and Mobile Software modules must be installed. Refer to the related documentation for these products.

• Note: It is recommended that you upload data from hand-held devices frequently: at least once a day for shop operations and more frequently for operations that involve several transactions, such as part inventory counts.

To load data from hand-held devices into the software, attach the device through its homebase (or other serial data interface) to the COMx port on the computer and use the Data -> Data Capture -> Hand-held Devices screen to process the data.
