Overview - Equipment Units |
The screens on the Equipment Units menu enable you to define and display primary information about equipment units, subsystems and parts, specifications, component relationships, and historical costs and set up how equipment unit information is processed.
The menu includes the following screens:
Rail Equipment (RailFocus)
Information about rail equipment
Information about equipment units, such as type, class, assignment, status, PM programs, and warranties
Stationary Equipment (EquipmentFocus)
Information about stationary assets, which are defined as single-point linear assets
Linear Assets (LinearFocus)
Information about linear assets, such as roads, as well as assets such as signals that are associated with linear components and for which you need to plan and track a history of inspections, defects, repairs, and maintenance
Information about equipment unit subsystems and parts, such as body, engine, electrical, belts, filters, hoses, transmissions, clutch, axles, suspension and wheels, brakes, and tires
Additional Data (titled Specifications prior to Release 6.0.1)
Equipment unit specifications, including weights, capacities, component warranties, and special equipment
Historical costs associated with equipment units’ meters and fuel, repair and PM, fluid, hours, and others
Information about components (other than vehicles), including their relationship with parent equipment units
Changes to equipment unit identifiers
Options, classes, types, special fees, insurance rates, warranty components, life-cycle status codes, and equipment unit operators
