Equipment Subsystems |
The Equipment Subsystems screen enables you to define the subsystems of equipment units or equipment types for which you want to define information. You can include parts within a subsystem; they are associated with a property to identify the particular type of part or attribute. You can use this screen to modify, add, or delete subsystem properties.
For example, in a truck, it could have a subsystem of an air compression brake system. This brake system could be set to an equipment type, and therefore, apply to all assets that have that equipment type. These types cannot be edited in the web modules. On the other hand, a truck could have a subsystem of a newer stereo system with CB radio, that would not be an item that came with the vehicle, that would be tied to that equipment only through the equipment ID. Specific asset subsystems can be edited.
