Linear work order transfer functions

You can use the Delays tab on the Data -> Shop Activity -> Linear Work Order screen to transfer work orders from one shop location to another. The following actions occur automatically when work orders are transferred:

• Current service status changes to WORK FINISHED

• Shop and user downtime on the current work order stops (if running)

• New work order created for the linear asset in the transferee shop

• Shop and user downtime on the new work order starts

• Descriptive information from the current work order copied to the new work order, including all fields on the Basic Info (except dates and times) and Comments tabs

• New work order ID inserted in the Reference work order field on the current work order

• Current work order number inserted in the Reference work order field on the new work order

• Priority code (ID) on the new work order (if the transfer is from a mobile shop to an internal shop) changed to the default priority ID for the linear asset. (Priority codes are specified on the Codes tab of the Data -> Equipment Units -> Fleet Equipment screen.)

• Status of the linear asset changes from PENDING to OPEN
