Edit Item (Layout menu) |
The Edit Item option is available only if an item (such as a column title, data item, text item, or summary item) is selected on the Layout tab. When you select Edit Item, the Edit Item dialog box displays the selected item's properties.
The unmarked field at the top defines one of the following:
Column: the title
Data or summary items x mask to represent the width of the data (for example, xx.xx to specify a width for a double-digit figure with two decimal places). If this is a multi-line data field, do not enter any data items to the right of the data item. If you intend this to be a memo field, be sure to specify a mask that is long enough to hold the information.
Text item: the text to include on the report
Other fields in the dialog box include:
Row: Number of the row in each section of the query or report (the first row is always 0). If this is a multi-line data field, do not enter any items below which the data will appear.
Column: Number of the column in the report section at which the item begins.
Print as bar code: If this field has a check (ü), the value of the item is printed as a bar code pattern rather than text. The optional Bar Code module must be installed.
Number of rows: Height, in rows, of the item. It can be 1 to 30.
To edit the items, make the changes and click OK to accept the changes or CANCEL to leave the properties unchanged. See Data item concatenation identifiers.
In addition to the Query/Report Generator, you can use FA Web Modules or any other reporting tool sold separately (such as Microsoft Access) that can attach to the database. Refer to the related documentation for these products.
