Symptom Lookup

The Symptom Lookup screen enables you to link symptom codes to subsystem codes. Subsystem codes are part of the manufacturer's related codes. The purpose of this screen is to define a single symptom for any given combination of source type, subsystem code, element code, or asset category. Telematics uses the symptom on service requests from the Telematics module. The Telematics module must be installed to view this screen.

Get data, copy, insert, update, and delete actions are available in the header of the help screen.

Source type

This field has a list box.

Detail View

Subsystem code

This field has a list box. The subsystem description displays to the right of the ID.

Subsystems are defined on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Equipment Subsystems screen.

Element code

This field has a list box. The element description displays to the right of the ID.

Symptom

This field has a list box. The symptom description displays to the right of the ID. This field is optional.

Symptoms are defined on the Basic Info tab of the Data -> Shop Activity -> Setup -> Symptoms screen.

Asset category ID

This field has a list box. The category description displays to the right of the ID. This field is optional.

Asset categories are defined on the Data -> Equipment Units -> Setup -> Asset Categories screen.
