How to use Administrator mode to grant access rights to screens

Administrator mode is available only if you are assigned to a user group that has a check in the System administrator rights field on the System Mgmt -> Setup -> Access Rights -> Rights Templates -> Special Rights screen.

When you access a screen in this mode, the Modify UI (User Interface) Information button in the toolbar is active, which enables you to grant access rights, modify the user interface, and modify control rights to a screen, directly on the screen.

To grant access rights to a screen:

Step 1.   Open the screen on which you want to specify access rights.

Step 2.   Click the down arrow next to the button and select Set User Group.

The Set User Group dialog box appears.

Step 3.   To specify the screen's access rights for a specific user group, specify the ID of the user group in the User Group field.

Step 4.   Click OK.

The system grants the user group access rights to the screen only for the current session. To specify access rights for future sessions, use the  System Mgmt -> Setup -> Access Rights -> Rights Templates -> Screen Rights screen.
