Attributes

The Attributes tab enables you to record details about the attributes associated with a special fee. You can also associate files with the fee. The tab may also contain additional data from the external file provided by the state DMV that are not specific to the fees themselves. Fleet personnel can use this data to determine whether the DMV has key data that differs from application data.

• Tip: To limit the display of information in the grid and maximize performance, use the filter. You can search on special fee ID, equipment ID, special fee type, and status, among other values.

• Note: If a record's status is either CANCELED or COMPLETE, certain fields cannot be changed. For more information, refer to the list of fields that cannot be changed on CANCELED or COMPLETE items. Item status is listed on the Status/Other Info tab.

Detail View Header

The field in the top section of this tab defines the data that displays.

Special fee unique ID

Automatically populated when a new record is inserted. Display only.

Detail View

Data in the fields in the screen group in the bottom section of this tab enable you to provide information about the attribute. Unless otherwise indicated, these fields are required.

Delete

To delete the entries in the fields to the right, place a check in this field and click Save.

Special fee attribute ID

Identifier of the attribute associated with the fee. This field has a list box.

The attribute ID must be enabled to use with the applicable special fee type (either FEE or LICENSE). Attributes for special fees are defined on the Data -> Equipment Activity -> Special Fees -> Setup -> Attributes screen.

Description

Description of the special fee attribute. This field is display only.

Text value

Text value associated with the attribute. Maximum field length is 30 characters. This field is optional.

Numeric value

Numeric value associated with the attribute. Maximum field length is 12 characters and two decimal places. This field is optional.

Date and time value

Date and time (in MM/DD/YYYY HH:MM format) associated with the attribute. This field is optional.

Comments

Text field in which you can enter comments regarding the attribute. Maximum field length is 60 characters. This field is optional.

Path and file name

Navigation path and file name of the data file associated with the special fee attribute. You can associate a procedures document, diagram, schematic, and so forth with the attribute. The field allows both uppercase and lowercase letters to support operating systems that are case-sensitive. Maximum field length is 255 characters. This field has a file launch button .
